studio {in pictures}.

I had nothing planned for blogging today. So, I decided to share my "studio"! Enjoy!

Above is a little shelf that my dad made a while back. I use it to hold my mists, masks, glitters, and punches. :)

Above are my mists and glitters.

And, some of my punches on the shelf.

This is my stack of albums and an embellishment box. These sit on top of a big plastic container.

These are some boxes of random embellishments and a box of tiny stampers.

The big plastic box I talked about above. It holds boxes of store-bought kits, project embellishments (pipe cleaners, pom poms, beads, etc.). And, it holds a bit of cardstock and other papers.

My Cricut. I absolutely love this machine. Now, I just need to start using it more!

This is the wall that I hang my finished layouts on. I can hold six up there, plus other random bits and pieces. I keep layouts up there until I run out of room and then they get sorted into an album. :)

This is my paper cutting table. I have my large and small trimmer on here and there's still space to put scraps or other stuff, just for a little while.

This is where I store my kits from Studio Calico. Each kit gets it's own shelf. And, the top shelf I currently have reserved for extra patterned papers.

On top of the kit shelf... I have a bin that holds all of my most-used items. This includes inks, paints, adhesive, stamps, paper cutter (hand kind), etc. And, it's within arms reach.

And, last but not least... my little table! It's just a temporary one. I'm hoping to upgrade in the near future! Please excuse the semi-messiness. I tried to clean it up as best I could before taking this picture. :)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the tour! Have a lovely weekend!

Hey there! Happy President's Day! Just a quick post for today (as if that's something new! lol). Just a page that I finished yesterday. :) Here it is...

share it sunday {2/20}

Back again for another Share it Sunday! :) I'm really loving doing this! It's helping me to get motivated to actually create something every week!

So, here's the page...

jbs spice tin ink | sc doily stamps

My little furbaby gets this intense, focused look on her face when ever she hears or sees something. She'll just stop in her tracks and just stare... completely focused. It's the cutest!

I used the Studio Calico: Quilting Bee kit (March '10). This layout used up the rest of the kit. My first kit I ever "killed"! There's just a few scraps of paper left.

Thanks for popping by today! Have a fabulous rest of your Sunday!

project 12 {january}

Hey everyone! I'm here today to share my Project 12 January layout.

Davinie hosts this little "challenge" every year (for the past two years). The challenge is to make a 'month in review' page for every month of the year. You can use the sketch she provides or you can have fun and make the page all your own! This is my first year playing along and I think this will be a great way to document my family's life without taking on something too overwhelming. :)

Here's my page...

sc mr. huey sunshine | sc mr. huey white | jbs malted milk ink | sc globe stamp | ms classic butterfly punch

I decided not to use the sketch because I wanted to use this lovely calendar paper. I couldn't make this sketch work with this paper. :) I'm planning on using these calendar papers for all of my Project 12 layouts. I think it will just work with it!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look today. Have a fabulous Friday night!

birthday & cards.

Hey y'all. I'm popping in today to share a birthday! I was going to share a layout, but for some reason I can't get the picture to be turned the right way when I insert it into blogger. So, this will be a really quick post!

So, today is one of my best friend's birthdays. She's so sweet and caring and I love her to bits. So, I put together a card for her. Here it is...

Thanks so much for taking a peek. Have a lovely night!

february fourteenth.

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! Just wanted to quickly pop in and share a quick little something I made to give to friends. :)

I quickly crafted a little "wrapper" to dress up some Hershey's bars. And, I didn't want to use traditional colors. I love how it turned out!

Just used some of the yellow polka dot SC paper (Peloton from Napa Valley kit) and my cricut to cut out the hearts. Nice and simple! Just the way I like it... especially since I was up at the last minute last night making these. teeehee.

And, my list of things I love...

  • My family
  • My little puppy
  • Scrapbooking
  • Photography
  • Little notes (handwritten makes it even better)
  • Smiles
  • Hugs
  • Sunshine-filled days with a slight breeze
  • Hair bows & headbands
So, there ya have it. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you had a hug, kisses, and love-filled day!

share it sunday {2/13}

Hello, hello! I'm back for Share it Sunday. I'm so pleased to be attempting to make this a weekly thing on my blog. :) I have two pages to share today...

mr. huey white | ms monarch butterfly punch

My grandma's birthday was back in December and we went to her house to give her a cake. My mom insisted on some pictures and I decided to scrapbook about it. Used the Studio Calico Partly Sunny kit (June '10).

I wanted to document my brother and I's relationship. I love this picture of the two of us (he's holding me on his back). I used the Studio Calico Napa Valley kit (November '10). And, the Sketch Inspiration 206 sketch.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a lovely Sunday!

getting sketchy.

I was working on a layout yesterday with the new papers from SC that are a part of the Candy Shoppe kit. I adore them! I also used a Sketchy Thursdays sketch, which made the page come together in around 25 - 30 minutes. So helpful because I was short on time! Here's the layout...

A simple page that I love. And again, the sketch made it so easy!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous weekend!

sunday sketches {my pages}.

Hey y'all. I did two layouts to go with past & current Sunday Sketches over at Studio Calico.

This first page is for the current Sunday Sketch... 2/6.  I had fun with this one because my goodies for February from Studio Calico arrived today!

jbs chewing gum dabber | ms butterfly punch | studio calico cardstock alphas (countryside collection) | mr. huey white

I used the papers from the Candy Shoppe kit. Had a lot of fun with this one! I'm loving that White Mr. Huey! My first experience with Mr. Huey's... :)

Made for the 1/30 Sunday Sketch.

Made using the Quilting Bee kit from March 2010. Loved this kit and I'm almost finished with it! Just need to make a few more layouts! :)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a lovely night!

cheerleaders.

Hello, hello! Thanks for popping over today!

For the past two years, I've been making little diecut cheerleaders with my Cricut for the cheer squad that I help with. I was a captain there last year and this year I'm an assistant.

I enjoy making those little "dolls" so much. And, seeing the girls faces when they see them makes all of the aggravation of when things go wrong during the creation process... worth it.

Here's a picture of one of the dolls...

This one is missing it's bow, but this is basically what they looked like. :)

Made using my "Everyday Paper Dolls" cartridge. And, you may remember this post about the ones I made last year. :)

Thanks for stopping by today!

january: project 365 (continued)

I decided to share the rest of January's 365 pictures. I have nothing crafty to share and since I haven't shared any project 365's in awhile... it was a perfect fit. :) Enjoy!

Day 16:

Day 18:

Day 19:

Day 22: My puppy actually threw that ball up on the chair. We got a laugh out of it because she can be pretty crazy when she's playing.

Day 23:

Day 27:

Day 29:

Thank for stopping by today! I hope to be back soon with something crafty! :)

CHAllenges: part one.

Hello everyone! Happy February 1st. Can you believe we're already done a month of 2011? Time sure has flown. I can't believe we're already here... in February. I've been keeping up fairly well with the Project 365 challenge. I only missed, maybe, two days of January. Far better than last year... when I only got through, like, the first five days. teehee.

The lovely design team over at Studio Calico is hosting CHAllenges for those that aren't at CHA. There are a lot of neat challenges to try out. I've gotten two done so far. The reflective photo challenge by Tina and the use a quote for journaling challenge by Laura. I'm hoping to finish them all this weekend. I just don't have the time throughout the week. A heads up, though... if you'd like to be entered to win some prizes, you need to have your creations linked up to their coordinating threads (over at Studio Calico - in the challenges section of the forum) by Friday, February 4th!

Here are my first two challenge submissions...

turquoise mist  |  sweethearts & plantin schoolbook cricut cartridges

The above was completed for the quotes challenge. It's now one of my favorite layouts. :) And. made with Napa Valley kit.

The above was created for the reflective photo challenge. :) And, made using Granny's Cupboard kit.

I'm challenging myself to go back and use an old kit for each challenge. Just so I can start using up some old ones.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous night!
