love, hugs, pork & beer.

Two new layouts to share today! I think they'll clear up the possible confusion as to what the title of this post means. haha. I'm sure y'all may be a tad curious! Anyways, here we go...

I made Love & Hugs as a lift of Leah Fung's Banana Pancakes. I saw the layout in Scrapbooks Etc. June 2011 edition. I used Studio Calico's Singin' in the Rain for it.

Pork & Beer is a lift of Erin Clarkson's A He or a She? layout. I saw this layout in Scrapbooks Etc. June 2011 edition, as well.

My brother and my aunt had an inside joke over the summer about pork and beer. They had been serving this at a festival close to my aunt's house that we went to while visiting her. And, my brother and my aunt got the biggest kick out of saying it to each other for some reason.

Thanks so much for taking a peek at the blog today! I'm hoping to be back tomorrow with some other stuff. But, I don't know being as it is Easter Sunday tomorrow. If I'm not back, have a Happy Easter y'all!

share it sunday {4/17}

Hello everyone! I'm back for Share it Sunday! I have two layouts to share with you today! Here they are...

Daddy Time is a layout to capture my puppy having her "daddy time". We call my dad "daddy" when referring to him while talking to the puppy. It may sound funny, but she actually knows each of us by who we are.

I lifted the fabulous Lori (lstudio) for this layout. Her Rest Well layout was gorgeous!

Studio Calico Into the Woods kit | maya road pearl stickpin | emma's shoppe chipboard

I made Bow Basket for a "Scraplift the Person Above You" challenge over at the Studio Calico message boards. I got to scraplift Gillian (justg). She has an amazing gallery full of inspiration. You should definitely check her out! In the end, I decided to lift her layout He's My Lobster. I loved the misting and inking she did on that one. It was a fun layout to lift!

revisiting a favorite.

So, I decided to revisit a favorite Studio Calico kit. I had the picture to match this kit and it was an "old" favorite of mine. So, that kit was Napa Valley. The November 2010 Studio Calico kit! It's an awesome kit. Filled with warm colors and fun embellishments! Here's the layout I made with it...

Just a little page about my cousin and how much like a sister she is. She's awesome!

Well, that's all. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by! Have a lovely evening!

share it sunday {4/10}

I'm back again with Share it Sunday! Three new layouts to share! I'm so excited that I'm getting a lot of scrapbooking done. Being creative definitely puts a smile on my face!

Homecoming was made following the Pencil Lines Sketch #232 . I rolled the paper strips around a pencil to get the rolled effect.

sc polka dot stamp (sold out) | jbs malted milk ink

Huh? was made for a "Mess on Your Desk" challenge over at Studio Calico. We were challenged to make a layout using what was on our desk. My desk wasn't really messy, but I had the Tap Dance kit on it... so, I made a layout with it!

In a D.C. Park was made using Pencil Lines Sketch #227. There's really nothing to explain about it... lol.

sc mr. huey sunshine mist

Well, that's all I've got for today! Enjoy your Sunday evening!

scrapping on a saturday.

Here are two layouts I have to share! One I finished Thursday and the other I did today. Take a look below!

Rainy Day Look is a layout about my puppy. She was looking out the window at the puddles on our deck after it rained. I used the Sketchy Thursday's 3.31 sketch.I used the Tap Dance add - on and extra paper from Studio Calico's April Kit.

ms border punch (can't remember the name) | sc cloud stamps (sold out) | jbs malted milk ink

This is Me. Just a layout documenting me as of now. I'm trying to do more of those! I lifted Tina A's "Love" layout. I used the Tap Dance add-on from Studio Calico's April Kit.

getting sketchy & challenged.

Hello, hello! I'm back again today with a layout for the Sunday Sketch/Monday Challenge over at the Studio Calico blog. I ended up combining the two challenges because they just seemed to fit together. :)
The Sunday Sketch was based on a page by design team member Kelly Noel. And, the Monday Challenge (which is hosted by Kelly Noel) was to "mix up" your title. Here's my layout...

maya road hydrangea mist | sc continental kit | ms circle punch (punch all over punch)

This layout I made to document my brother and where he is in life right now. I felt that the July 2010 kit, Continental, matched the colors in the photo. And, I was wanting to "kill" that kit. So, I decided to use it!

And, for your viewing enjoyment... two cards! lol. Both of these were made using mainly Continental with bits of Into the Woods thrown in. :)

Anyways, that's all I've got for today! Thanks for peeking over here! Have a fabulous evening! And, I'll "see" you soon!

a trio of layouts.

Good evening! I have new layouts to share! I posted them on the Studio Calico gallery about two weeks ago. But, I just realized (after sorting through pictures) that I never shared them here. So, here they are...
This layout was prompted by an avatar change over at the Studio Calico message boards. We were changing our avatars to something rain related to go with the new April kit "Singin' in the Rain". I decided to capture my current rainboots with this layout...

jbs spice tin ink | sc jett alpha | ek success binding punch | sc bee stamp
This next one was made to capture my silly puppy. She was trying to lick rain through the door. This makes me laugh so much! teehee. I love pink and green together and the colors just seemed go with the picture... so it came together easily.

jbs malted milk dabber | ek success large circle border punch |
sc woodgrain circle stamp | jbs malted milk ink

And, finally, last but not least... this layout is about my family. :) I misted the background using lace rose paper as a mask. It has a shimmer in real life that you can't see through the photo.

sc butterfly stamps | jbs chewing gum dabber | maya road cream mist |
ek success binding punch | maya road amethyst mist |
martha stewart classic & royal butterfly punch

Thanks so much for popping by the bloggo today! I love having you "visit".

Have a lovely night!

picturing sunday.

Hello everyone! Happy April! I can't believe I can say that... I mean, April? Really? Where has the last three months gone? I feel like we just celebrated New Years! And, here we are in April... prepping for spring!

I'm skipping Share it Sunday this week because I have nothing to share! I plan on scrapping later this evening, though. :) So, instead I'm going to share a few pictures from our Sunday! Here we go...

My little Madi-boo ready for a walk.

She's tired now. Refuses to walk!

Our dinner, about halfway through being slow cooked.

Me. Laying on the deck enjoying the fresh air. Cliche, huh?

Wow. This is probably the most boring blog post you've ever read/viewed! I apologize! I really don't have anything interesting to share. Let alone, anything at all! I'm going to try and get something creative up here within the next week or os, so that you won't be bored by me!

Anyways, enjoy your Sunday night!
