scrapalicious sunday

Below are some layouts that I made a week or two ago that I never got around to sharing. I hope you like them!

*I am sorry about the circles or pixelation over the faces. I just do this to keep everyone's identity safe. It's not that I don't trust people, I just don't know who could access my blog and take a look at these pictures. I don't want to risk anything... Thanks for understanding!

This is a layout about me and my mom. We went on a trip with my cousins and aunt and uncle and got these pictures together.  Made using Studio Calico's: Quilting Bee.

Cardstock: Coffee (American Crafts), Pink Paper (Best Occasions)
Patterned Papers: English (Studio Calico)
Alphabet: White Thickers (American Crafts
Flower: Flowering Fields (American Crafts) [It was cut from that paper]
Chipboard: Buttons Mini Chipboard (Maya Road)

This layout is about the same trip we took. The picture is of the Washington monument. I used The Color Room's first challenge to come up with the color palette. I am loving The Color Room. They have such awesome color combos. I used bits and pieces of Quilting Bee.

Cardstock: Page-filler out of my album, Blue and pink (Best Occasions)
Alphabet: Yellow Thickers (American Crafts)
Mist: Blue Hydrangea (Maya Road)
Stick Pin: Teal Leaf Pin (Maya Road)
Chipboard: Buttons Mini Chipboard (Maya Road)
Flower: The Springhouse - Crocheted Flowers (American Crafts)

This one is about me and my cousin on our trip. I used a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays. I love this layout and adore the misting. Not to toot my own horn, but I think I'm getting pretty darn good at misting. lol.

Carstock: Page-filler out of an album
Alphabet: High Noon Ready - Set - Chip (Cosmo Cricket)
Patterned Paper: Sweet Strawberry (American Crafts)
Mist: Amethyst (Maya Road)
Stamp: Cherries Mini Stamp (Studio Calico)

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look! I may have some more layouts to share later, but that all depends on how much time I end up having.

Have a lovely Sunday!

A Card and a Layout.

Blah... what a boring title. lol. I couldn't come up with anything snazzier, though. I have two things to share today, but I have to make this quick as "Movie Night" is about to commence! hehe.

First off is a card. I was trying to make it out of scraps for the Studio Calico: Scraps Card Challenge, but I didn't really have all that many scraps [only paper scraps, no embellie scraps] so that's not exactly what I came up with. I'll just try to come up with another for the challenge. Anywho... here's the card!

The card was made from pink paper scraps [the butterflies], gold/tan ribbon, and a Dear Lizzy rub-on.
I got the rub-on and ribbon from the March Studio Calico kit, Quilting Bee.
The box is my own writing and I punched the butterflies with my MS Butterfly punch.

Rub-on: MiniMarks Phrases - Pounce (American Crafts)
Ribbon: Satin Ribbon, Yellow (American Crafts)

The next is a layout I made today, using the Quilting Bee kit from Studio Calico. I scrap-lifted a member of Studio Calico, bluestardesign. I fell in love with her original layout, which can be found here. It's so simple, but so gorgeous and powerful! It's definitely a favorite of mine!

Again, I used the Studio Calico March Kit... Quilting Bee. I am so in love with this kit!
Journaling reads: This little ball of fluff is my sunshine. I love her so much! I am so lucky to have her! -April 2010
Wood Veneer: Veneer Circle Shapes (Studio Calico)
Red Patterned Paper: Tailor Made (Cosmo Cricket)
Yellow Flower Paper: Calico (Cosmo Cricket)
Blue Flower Paper: Sapphire (Sassafras)
Yellow Cherry Paper: Cherry on Top (Jenny Bowlin)
Red Cherry Paper: Sweet Strawberry (American Crafts)
Orange/Yellow Stripe Paper: Tea (Studio Calico)
Yellow Cardstock: Sunflower (American Crafts)
Cherry Stamp: Cherries Mini Stamp (Studio Calico)
Rub-on: Minimarks Phrases - Pounce (American Crafts)
Bee Sticker: (Jolee's Boutique)

Thanks so much for taking a peek at my creations!
Hope ya'll had a wonderful Friday!

My Blog: Wordle Edition.

I recently found Wordle through another blog. I believe I had heard of it before I actually had my blog and of course, having no use for it, didn't give it a second thought. Now that I have a blog, though, I decided to have Wordle create a word "cloud" of my blog. Look below to see how it turned out...

Pretty cool, huh? Why don't you hop on over to Wordle to create your own? You can do so here. I'd love to see your's.
