wednesday scraps.

Just wanted to quickly pop in and share a page I finished today. :)

Made this page using Studio Calico's May Kit: Lawn Party. I love, love, love the fresh and fun colors that this kit has to offer. But, on the flip side... it also offers some great neutrals (as you can see on the layout). It truly is an awesome kit!

I lifted *Audi's* Aboretet layout for this page...

Welp, that's all she wrote for today! Hopefully I'll be back soon with some other stuff!
 Have a lovely Wednesday night!

happy mother's day!

Happy Mother's Day to all you mommas out there! I hope you're having a wonderful day filled with love, hugs, and pampering! You deserve it!

I have two layouts to share today made for some NSD challenges over at Studio Calico.

First is this layout I made for Susan and Kelly's color combo challenge and for Stephanie's sketch challenge! I used Lawn Party mostly. Plus, I used some mists behind the photo. And, I used the AC .03 pen for journaling.

I made the second layout for Celine's sketch challenge and Lisa and Jen's Fabrips/Tape challenge. Again, I used Lawn Party for the most of this. I used mists to color the filters (which I love!). To tie in the Tape challenge I used the tape as "attachers" for the photo and filters.

happy national scrapbook day!

Just posting quickly to wish ya'll a fabulous National (or International) Scrapbooking Day! I was out last night and this morning when the challenges started, but I did get some projects done this afternoon. :)

Here are some Mother's Day cards that I completed for tomorrow...

I had three. But, the picture of the third one won't cooperate here on the blog. You can see it here, though. I used bits and bobs from various Studio Calico kits to create these.

I also did a layout today, but it's too dark to get a photo of it now. So, I will share it tomorrow.

Alright, enough blabbering. I'm signing off of here and getting some more scrapping done. Be back soon! Enjoy the rest of your Scrapbooking Day!

cinco de mayo.

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! I hope you're having a festive-filled day. We were really lame and didn't eat anything Mexican today. But, last night we had some Spanish rice (does that count?).

I made a layout today for the Studio Calico Sunday Sketch. It is about my cousin and how much I love her. And, how I love seeing her holding my puppy. She's so sweet with her! Here's the page...

I used Studio Calico's Lawn Party kit. It has gorgeous colors and is perfect for spring photos!

Thanks for taking a look! Have a lovely evening!

lucky girl.

I just finished a new layout today. It's one of my favorites (that's what they all say, huh?). It has gorgeous pinks with some fabulous blue thrown in. And, I'm gonna share it. Mostly because of the fact that I haven't blogged in like a week and a half... and I really feel like I need to!

I'm a Lucky Girl is just documenting how grateful I am for two wonderful women in my life... my mom and my maternal grandmother. They are a constant source of love and wisdom. I can always go to them whether I need some advice or a hug or just to talk. They display so much courage. And, I view each of them as wonderful models of what a woman, a wife, and a mother should look like. I am so blessed to have them.

I lifted Maggie Holmes's "Star Mill" layout from the Lawn Party gallery. :)

I used the Studio Calico April kit add-on, Tap Dance. I loved the Crate Paper and pinks that were in this add-on. So, it was kind of an obvious choice for me to buy it!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today! Have a fabulous night!
