Hello 2014!

Wow! It has been over a year since I last posted on this here blog! I miss it incredibly! Life has just been pretty hectic over the past year and I have not had as much time to create. Therefore, I had nothing to share and no reason to update. 

I am really excited for 2014, though. There are so many exciting events and opportunities that this year will entail and I can't wait to welcome everything with open arms. 

So, here's to a new year and all that it has to offer!

Happy Veteran's Day, everyone! Thank you to all of the men and women who have served or are still protecting us and serving our country! Words cannot express how truly grateful I am! 

Oh, and how cool is it that today is 11.11.11?! It completely slipped my mind to take a picture of what I was doing at 11:11 a.m. So, I'm going to attempt to take a picture at 11:11 p.m. 

*I'm going to try and pop back in within the next few days to share my December Daily base pages that I just completed. I still need to order the actual album.

wordless wednesday {bright sky}

well, hello october.

How is it October already? I feel like just yesterday we were celebrating the start of 2011 with family and friends! This is utterly crazy! But, I like it. 

It's really starting to feel like fall now. The temperatures are beginning to dip. I'm starting to bust out the jeans and cardigans (my favorites!). I got to wear my cute slipper-like booties yesterday. And, I actually had the fireplace and heater running last night to keep warm. 

Now, I just can't wait to go pumpkin picking and drink apple cider, hot chocolate, and possibly a Starbucks pumpkin spice latte (or two). And, I can't wait to wear more cardigans and cute scarves and boots. Or what about eat some turkey and pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving dinner?

I love autumn. I love getting to wrap up all snuggly-like in a warm blanket. And, cuddle up. It's just great. :) 

So, I wish you a happy fall! What fun fall festivities do you have planned? 

And, because I can't get over this sweetie pie... I just had to share...

I saw this survey over at Cats&Cardigans. I modified a few questions because that's information I don't wish to share on the internet. And, I added a T because there was one missing, but it's the general idea of the original survey. I thought it would be fun to post. :)

B. Bed size: Twin. I love my bed. It's so comfortable! :)

C. Chore that you hate: Cleaning the bathroom. Worst chore ever!

E. Essential start to your day: Getting at least an extra five minutes of sleep after the alarm goes off. I cherish sleep! :p

N. Nicknames: Pumpkin (that's my parents' nickname for me), Shirley (joke between friends)

O. Overnight hospital stays: Never, thank goodness!

P. Pet peeves: People who are disrespectful. Slow-walkers... I walk fast and it drives me crazy when I'm stuck behind slow-walkers. haha.

W. What makes you run late: Saving things for the last minute and then running around like a chicken without a head, scrambling out the door.

Y. Yummy food that you make: Grilled cheese, although I still think my mom makes it better than me!

Z. Zoo animal: Giraffes. They are the cutest!
