Saturday Scrappiness.

I finally have some scrappiness to share! These were all made using the March Studio Calico Kit, Quilting Bee. This is such a fabulous kit and I can't believe that today was it's last day before being booted by Joyland. The month has certainly flew by.

Up first is, Shoes. This layout is about an old pair of red shoes that I had. I have since outgrown them.

The journaling reads: A pair of red shoes. I outgrew them. :)

The ribbon, crocheted flowers, and chipboard button are all from the kit. The mist I bought at TwoPeas. It is the metallic cream.
For the crocheted flower I took two of the same colors and layered them to get a dimensional effect. Then I stuck the stickpin through.
The chipboard button was originally plain. I misted it with Blue Hydrangea to get the effect I wanted. I like it a lot!

Next layout is, Signs.

The picture is from our 2009 summer vacation. On the first day we got there, we were driving around and we spotted deer. I rolled down the window and snapped that shot. I love it so much! Such a great memory. We were pretty close, too.

Everything on this page is from the kit, aside from the mist and the ink for the date.
The stick pins came with the kit as did the chipboard title letters and the ribbon.
The mist is cream [metallic].

I promise that the ribbon is not crooked in real life. It just looks that way because of the angle that I snapped the picture at. I am actually really proud of my misting skills on this one. lol. It was my second time misting and I think it turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.

And lastly, Tub Time. This page is about my puppy. It's her in the bathtub getting her bath. She pretty much resembles a drowned rat. heehee. Don't tell her I said so. ;)  I'd say that this is one of my favorite layouts. I love everything about it.

To achieve the bubble look I was going for... I cut out circles of different sizes with my Cricut and layed them over the page. Then I sprayed Blue Hydrangea mist over it. After that, I removed the circles and was left with "bubbles". Wa Lah!

Pretty much everything was from the kit except for the Thickers and the mist.

Journaling reads: Madi in the tub. March ~ 2010.

Thanks so much for stopping to look . I appreciate it! :)

Have a wonderful Saturday. xoxo - KK

Quilting Bee - March Studio Calico Kit

I am so in love with the the March Studio Calico kit! Quilting Bee is fabulous! It is my first every kit from Studio Calico and I am absolutely in love! All of the Dear Lizzy goodness and wood veneers, patterned paper and stickpins. It's so gorgeous! I have completed three layouts with the kit and can't wait to share them with you! I'm hoping to have them up by Saturday. I should have time by then!

Until then, hope you have a scrapping-filled week!

P.S. Keep in mind that the April kit, Joyland, will have its full reveal this Saturday at midnight! It's looking awesome, even from the sneaks!

It's my Birthday...

and I know the exact way I'm going to spend it! Shopping! I'm buying a few beauty products and of course some scrappy goodness. My parents got me some scrappy stuff, too, but I can't open it until tonight when we have my birthday dinner. I'm super excited!

I can't wait to use it all to make some pages. It'll be nice to be able to share some stuff. I haven't shared anything in like three weeks. I've been super busy, scrappy time just hasn't fit into my schedule. Hopefully it will, though! :)

Hope you all have a wonderful day!
