share it sunday {10/30}

How on earth is it October 30th already? I remember posting at the beginning of the month wondering how it was already October... and now it's almost November! Time sure does fly...

Well, it's time for another Share it Sunday, which I haven't been able to do in awhile. But, since I've been crafty and have the time to blog... I'm ready to share! :)

Like I said yesterday, I'm just having so much fun scrapping lately. And, I can't wait to get started on putting together my December Daily mini book. I'm going to try and keep it low-key and less pressure this year. Last year, I felt way too much pressure to get a photo every day and a story every day... I ended up not even finishing the mini! But, this year I'm hoping to finish and have something to show for it!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Sunday!

twelve with madi.

Hey y'all! Sorry I've been MIA lately. October's been a whirlwind of a month. I've barely had a chance to sit down and collect myself! But, I finally had a chance, starting yesterday, to really start breaking into my October Studio Calico kit, Field Guide. And, I'm in love! So many awesome pieces to this kit!

Plus, my grandmother gave me her sewing machine. So, I am now the proud owner of a sewing machine and I couldn't be more pleased with the chance to sew on my layouts! :)

So, without further ado, here are two layouts I completed using Field Guide and other bits and pieces!

I'm just having so much fun and I really feel like I'm starting to get into a groove. I think I'm starting to develop a "style" if you will. There are still some pages that I put together and I'm like "Grr... this did not turn out how I wanted!". But, I'm sure everyone has those moments! So, I'm beginning to be comfortable with what I create!

Have a great weekend!

puppy pause.

It's been crazy busy around here, lately. I feel like I barely have a chance to stop and catch my breath! Thankfully, after Saturday night... I'll have a little relaxation time. And, hopefully that means a little date with my craft room. Oh, how I miss it! But, speaking of crafts, I have a layout that I never shared here on the blog! Trying to play catch up now! teehee.

mr. huey pumpkin spice | jbs calendar card | jbs brown sugar ink | crate chipboard | sc label stickers |
pawprint stamp for a vendor (can't remember the name!)

I love this sweet picture of my little girl out on one of our walks. She's such a good puppy! And, yesterday was her two year "homeaversary". It's the name I made up for her anniversary of being with us. I cannot believe it's been two years! Time sure does fly when you're having fun!

Well, thanks for stopping by the 'ol blog today! Have a fabulous night!

Saturday, October 1, 2011

well, hello october.

How is it October already? I feel like just yesterday we were celebrating the start of 2011 with family and friends! This is utterly crazy! But, I like it.

It's really starting to feel like fall now. The temperatures are beginning to dip. I'm starting to bust out the jeans and cardigans (my favorites!). I got to wear my cute slipper-like booties yesterday. And, I actually had the fireplace and heater running last night to keep warm.
Now, I just can't wait to go pumpkin picking and drink apple cider, hot chocolate, and possibly a Starbucks pumpkin spice latte (or two). And, I can't wait to wear more cardigans and cute scarves and boots. Or what about eat some turkey and pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving dinner?
I love autumn. I love getting to wrap up all snuggly-like in a warm blanket. And, cuddle up. It's just great. :)

So, I wish you a happy fall! What fun fall festivities do you have planned?
And, because I can't get over this sweetie pie... I just had to share...
