happy {belated} thanksgiving!

Happy belated Thanksgiving to you all! We had a lovely Thanksgiving with tons of turkey, stuffing, and other food! It was heavenly! :) My mom's brothers and sister came with their families and we had a big gathering. I also did a photo shoot with my cousins and brother. I'll share some of the pictures we took. :)

paws, light & paint splatters.

Hello everyone! Just wanted to pop in quickly and share a few things. I've been really getting into photography lately and wanted to share some stuff, as well as a project I made for my art class. Here we go...

^ I love this one! The perspective of it, puppy's little paw, and the toy. It's just a picture that captures puppy so good! That makes me smile!

^ My project. It may look messy, but that's the point. I painted all of the objects & the base white. Then, I took six different colored Maya mists & misted & splattered all over the project.

happy halloween!

I just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a Happy Halloween! I got back from walking around with my friend about an hour and a half ago. I'm just ready to crawl into bed right about now. :) My Alice in Wonderland costume was a hit... and my friend was Belle. My brother went as Harry Potter. He looked so cute! It seems like all I ever post on this blog anymore is... currents. I really love doing them, though! And they're quick and easy to post when I really have nothing else to share (or am short on time!). Which is good because y'all might think I've forgotten about this blog or died or something if I didn't post from time to time!

a market, four pumpkins, and one huge mess!

Thanks for stopping by and happy Sunday! Today was a holiday prep kind of day in my household! We stopped by a local market type place to buy our pumpkins. They sell them for a cheap price, too! Which is awesome. More for less! While we were picking out our pumpkins, we were informed that they sold a variety of foods in side the little house. So, we went in to investigate. We ended up leaving with some cheddar cheese, a large slice of Zucchini Nut bread, and a large slice of Pumpkin Nut bread... and, of course, four pumpkins! All of the food was made by local farmers... which is a huge plus! It's great to be able to support them. Now, onto some pictures! These are of pumpkins and some other items at the market.

halloween decor {exterior}

Today has been a fairly lazy day. The only real thing I got accomplished today was putting up our outdoor Halloween decorations and a little bit of homework. Well, in the spirit of Halloween (t-minus 14 days!) I'm here to share some pictures of our outdoor decor. This post may be a little picture heavy... so be warned.

Don't you love the tape job? It was the only way to get the web up on the house like that. lol.

Mom wants us to place bets on whether or not these tombstones (they're styrofoam!) will be stolen.

I hope to be back soon with the interior Halloween decor. We need to get it up first, though! hehe.

studio calico {new blog!}

Studio Calico has a new blog up! It's pretty fantastic. The new look is so fun and fresh! And, to celebrate this event they have decided to do a couple giveaways.
